Rice as a staple of many long lived populations We recommend that you soak your rice to remover naturally occurring arsenic, anywhere from 20 mins to overnight, the longer the more removed.

We would suggest you don't 'worry' if you have not done it every time but maybe starting to add it when you can it great.

The darker the rice the longer the cooking time, also the more water you will need to cook in.

Brown Rice, 1 cup rice / 1.5 cups water / 30 cooking time

Wild Rice, 1 cup rice / 3 cups water / cooking time 45 to 60 mins

  • Any type of rice

  1. For every cup of rice, use an extra cup of water, into a large saucepan with a tight-fitting lid
  2. Add water to rice (rinse first, also we suggest you soak the rice from as little as 20 min up to over night, this removes naturally arsenic in the grain)
  3. Cover the pot and bring to the boil, then turn down low and simmer, until water has reduced, and rice is soft.
  4. Fluff rice with a fork, serve
  5. We suggest you cook extra to get you prepared for the week ahead.
