Instead of meat for a burger, try a hearty portobello mushroom burger, FULL of nutrients, protein mushrooms are a delicious meat substitute, throw in rocket, beetroot, roasted vegetables and you have yourself a HEALTHY BURGER

Ingredients

  • 1 large mushroom each or small mushroom if no large ones
  • 2 to 4 onions (we love onions)
  • Whole grain bread or whole grain bun per person
  • Avocado, Beetroot, Rocket, let you mind go wild with whatever veggies you like.
  • Chilli Sauce or sauce you prefer
  • Little bit of salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Water fry onions until tender, the longer you cook the sweeter they will be.
  2. Grill or broil or bake the mushrooms over medium heat until tender, make sure they is water on the mushroom or it will dry out.
  3. Serve on a whole grain bread or roll with roaster vegetables, salad, avocado, chilli and healthy condiments.
