This sweet cocoa avocado toast has got it all, protein, good fats, whole-grains, and Yummy banana.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium ripe avocado
  • 2 teaspoons cocoa or cacao powder (preferably organic and fair trade)
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons maple syrup to taste
  • 1 heaping tablespoon peanut butter (home-made is best)
  • 4 slices whole-grain bread, toasted
  • Bananas, 1 or 2, as needed depending on size, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mash peeled and pitted avocado until smooth.
  2. Add the cocoa, maple syrup, cinnamon and peanut butter.
  3. Work in with a fork until well blended
  4. Spread onto toast and top with sliced bananas.
  5. Eat and enjoy!
